Coldplay will be performing in India this November and the fans can’t contain their excitement. Being hyper-excited for the concert is obviously legit. Because of Coldplay, the international social action platform Global Citizen too has been in the news since Chris Martin is the brand ambassador of the charity.
Many reports claimed that Global Citizen confirmed the rumour on 10 September 2016 that Coldplay will be performing in India, and actors like Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar might be there as well.
“Just like our annual festival in Central Park, tickets to the Indian Festival will be FREE. Fans will earn them through taking actions in support of education, equality, and sanitation campaigns”, posted the forum on its official blog.
There were rumors that the tickets would be at Rs 25,000 to 1 lakh but that turned out to be yet another internet hoax (thank god!) However, earning ‘free’ Coldplay tickets is easier than ordering pizza. Here is how you can be eligible to claim your free Coldplay ticket!
1. Sign up on the website and download the Global Citizen application. After signing up, start earning ‘rewards’ with various actions.
2. Users win tickets to the festival through taking action to end extreme poverty. You can choose from a range of actions that earn you points. Once you earn 25 points from festival actions, you can enter the draw for festival tickets.
3. There can be various ways to earn points, you can choose the range of actions for that. After earning 25 points, you become eligible to enter the draw for the tickets.
Every two weeks they will announce ticket winners and launch a new campaign with a different challenge for global citizens to solve
If you wish to track your actions and the points status, you can use the Global Citizen online platform and mobile app.
Can we ever thank technology enough? Nope, never.
